Lisa Cole

Horticulturist

Lisa has spent nearly 30 years working in environmental education and ecological restoration, mostly in Texas. This included 14 years as an education coordinator at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area.

She holds bachelor’s degrees from Kansas State University in both wildlife biology and public relations.

Lisa joined the Wildflower Center’s horticulture team in 2021, after serving as a monitor at Fortlandia, our annual exhibition of custom-designed forts, in fall 2020. She says she “loves projects that help people connect with our local flora and fauna,” so helping keep the Wildflower Center’s gardens healthy and beautiful is a perfect fit.
