Catenya excitedly joined the Wildflower Center in the spring of 2022. Prior to joining our team, she served as an award-winning communications director at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where she was responsible for and oversaw strategic and informative internal and external communications, public and media relations, writing, marketing, content creation, social media, and video production.

Catenya brings more than 25-years of experience in communications, broadcast journalism and storytelling. She holds two University Excellence in Marketing and Communications awards, an Edward R. Murrow award, and a National Headliner award for excellence in investigative journalism. She has logged hundreds of stories throughout the years and is also an author, inventor, and entrepreneur, having owned and operated two P.R. firms and a production company.

Catenya is an L.A. native who loves connecting with nature and the outdoors. If she has the choice of working in an office or outdoors, she will choose to take her meetings outside, especially on a sunny day.
