Join the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge
THE LADY BIRD JOHNSON WILDFLOWER CENTER has partnered with conservation organizations across the United States to form the National Pollinator Garden Network and launch the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge.
The challenge is a nationwide call to action to preserve and create gardens and landscapes that help revive the health of bees, butterflies, birds, bats and other pollinators across America. It is a response to President Barack Obama’s federal strategy to promote the health of pollinators by restoring or enhancing millions of acres of land for pollinators.

Native pollinators have evolved for millennia with native plants that provide nectar and pollen to support pollinators’ growth and reproduction. The plants benefit, too, as the insects and birds move pollen from plant to plant, aiding in fertilization and seed development. Without native plants, there would be no pollinators, and without pollinators, no plants.
