As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Native Plant Focus: preservation of Cajun Prairie
Description: The Cajun Prairie Preservation Society is an organization which is dedicated to the study, preservation, restoration and education in regard to the Cajun Prairie Habitat , associated habitats & projects. The society was officially founded on May 22, 1989 by a group of prairie enthusiasts. The main purpose of the society was to restore prairie habitat located in Eunice, LA. Since then, the society has expanded its purpose, amount of prairie restored and membership. We have also recieved our non-profit status.
