Native Plant Focus: KTB's mission is to educate Texans to take responsibility for improving their community environment. We focus our efforts in three major areas: litter prevention, beautification and waste reduction. Keep America Beautiful and Keep Texas Beautiful are asking Texans to join us in supporting local ecosystems by planting species native to their area this fall with National Planting Day. National Planting Day celebrates the value and power of native species in restoring ecological balance to the environment, while creating greener, more beautiful communities. The GetGrowing Initiative provides a national stage for the important role that beautification and greening plays in our communities. Beautiful public places transcend aesthetic appeal to positively impact the lives of area residents, visitors, businesses and institutions.

Description: Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) is a statewide 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to beautifying and improving community environments through programming and education; we address the areas of litter prevention, community beautification and waste reduction. We work with affiliate communities, government agencies, businesses, civic groups, and volunteers to ensure that every Texan has the opportunity to make Texas the cleanest, most beautiful state in the nation. KTB is also a certified state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
