As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Native Plant Focus: EIH\'s on-site WaterSmart School Habitat Demonstration Lab includes a pocket prairie, rain garden, pond, hummingbird and songbird gardens, and a butterfly garden, all of which feature native Texas plants. EIH\'s native habitat serves as a model for local schools and teachers who want to build or utilize an existing habitat in their curriculum.
