As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Description: The Wildflower Conservancy is committed to conserving rare, threatened and endangered species of wildflowers and the larger ecosystems coexisting with them. Our mission is to identify, protect and restore wild populations of rare native plants, where such flora can thrive for purposes of research, education and for future generations to enjoy. The Wildflower Conservancy was founded in 2005 on the principles of respectful awareness for ecological communities, natural resources and the ideals of stewardship.
