Native Plant Focus: Every May the Yardeners hold a native plant sale. Presentations are given throughout the year focusing on native plants and wildlife habitat landscaping.
Description: The Yardeners of St. Clair Shores is a not for profit group of volunteer gardeners dedicated to achieving beneficial environmental results by teaching and practicing earth-friendly techniques. These include using MI native plant material, wildlife habitat landscaping, composting, and Integrated Pest Management to reduce/eliminate the use of harmful chemicals. All money raised by the Yardeners is put back into the community through monetary donations, educational programs and planting projects.
