As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Native Plant Focus: We engage in botanical and ecological surveys and analysis of ecological condition of native plant communities. We are active in studies of alien plant invasions and how they effect native plants. We provide information on rare and endangered native plants though our Endangered Species Information Network that can be accessed through our web site: www.pacificbio.org We are developing a community herbarium of native plants in the North Cascades ecosystem.

Description: Pacific Biodiversity Institute focuses on bringing the best conservation science to bear on issues of habitat loss, maintenance of native biodiversity, non-native species invasions, and other conservation issues. We engage in research in ecology, botany, biology and biogeography to shed light on pressing conservation issues. We also engage in public education efforts.
