Abstract

Studies the reproductive phenology of Scaevola plumieri, a major pioneer species in dune environments, in South Africa. Reproduction is mainly vegetative although some sexual reproduction also occurs. Dune position affected the reproduction of this species such that stems at the landward face of foredunes had a higher reproductive performance.
