Abstract
Investigates dormancy and germination requirements of commercially produced, local ecotype seeds of Coreopsis leavenworthii. Coreopsis leavenworthii expressed a type of physiological dormancy broken first at cooler temperatures and then at warmer temperatures. Although resembling a facultative winter annual, C. leavenworthii was able to germinate under a wider range of temperatures to some degree, including during the summer. The species also showed the potential to form a short-term seed bank.Suggested Citation
