Abstract

Investigates seed germination and establishment of four species native to longleaf pine flatwoods in Florida. Mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and weed control were assessed in relation to native species cover. Fertilization did not increase cover and mowing had mixed effects. Reducing the existing seed bank prior to seeding increased cover of some species.
