Abstract

Investigates the interactions between sand burial and nutrient availability on the growth of four coastal dune plants. Scaevola plumieri, which normally experiences high rates of burial, had increased growth when buried. This response was nutrient limited. Stable dune species had minimal responses to burial but were not nutrient limited.
