Abstract
Evaluates the effects of adding Azospirillum (nitrogen fixing bacteria) and nitrogen fertilizer on the growth of Gaillardia pulchella. Azospirillum increased plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, and biomass accumulation. The uptake of nitrogen was enhanced when both Azospirillum and nitrogen fertilizer were present. Results include a discussion on different strains of Azospirillum that are effective.Suggested Citation
