Abstract
Investigates the possibility of producing hybrid Kalmia species by crossing all possibilities of K. cuneata, K. angustifolia, K. latifolia, K. hirsuta, K. polifolia var. rosmarinifolia and K. polifolia var. microphylla. Six combinations produced a few seedlings with somewhat normal growth. Developing improved cultivars through breeding is limited by genetic barriers in these species.Suggested Citation
