Abstract
Evaluates the effects of interspecific pollination between Hibiscus moscheutos and H. laevis. Foreign pollen resulted in similar fruit set but lower seed numbers compared to that of conspecific pollen. Although hybridization between the species is possible, it seems that pollen competition serves as a barrier to hybridization.Suggested Citation
