Abstract
The effects of Schizachyrium scoparium tiller density and tiller size on herbivory tolerance were tested. Aboveground biomass was not significantly affected by planting density in either defoliated or not defoliated populations. However, dense plantings of small tillers resulted in greater increases in tillering and basal area.Suggested Citation
