Abstract
Rates of C4 photosynthesis were quantified in four hybrids of Flaveria species by inhibiting phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase with DCDP. The degree that photosynthesis was inhibited varied among the species and hybrids. The authors also conclude that estimating the rate of C4 photosynthesis was likely underestimated by this method.Suggested Citation
