Abstract

Investigates differences between Aquilegia caerula and A. canadensis in their response to ultraviolet B radiation. Both species responded by producing more leaves and becoming shorter. Aquilegia caerulea, an alpine species, produced more leaves faster and had a greater degree of shortening than A. canadensis, a non-alpine species.
