Abstract
Flaveria linearis is an intermediate species regarding the C3-C4 photosynthetic pathways. This study compared the CO2 compensation point (Gamma) among four widely separated Florida populations of F. linearis. Most variation was found within populations rather than among them. Results indicate that high levels of plasticity exist in this species so that warmer temperatures can serve as a selective agent for enhancement of C4 traits.Suggested Citation
