Abstract
Examines the effects of fertilizer and competition on rhizome number and length in Solidago canadensis. In general, fertilizer resulted in shorter rhizomes and decreased rhizome production in S. canadensis. However, in the presence of a competitor with a high rooting density, S. canadensis produced more aggregated rhizome systems (increased number and reduced length).Suggested Citation
