Habitat: Climbing by tendrils on shrubs & into trees. Semi-shaded, alkaline soil.
Description: Glabrous, thin vine, from perennial root. Leaves ovate, pinnately 5-lobed/toothed, to 6 cm dia. Petioles 25 mm long. Long tendrils from most axils. Flower not present. Fruit globose, 3 cm dia, red-orange, solitary on 2 cm axillary peduncle. Seed: about 20, sub-spherical, tan, about 5 mm long.
