Habitat: Full sun. Level, alkaline, alluvial soil. Among Poaceae and Asteraceae.

Description: Erect, taprooted annual/biennial, single stalk, striate. Upper leaves alternate, petioled, pinnate/bipinnate, to 12 cm long. Heads campanulate on ultimate branching peduncles. Ray flowers absent. Disk corollas creamy white. Fruit absent.
