Habitat: Under Juniperus ashei, on west facing hill, in stoney soil.

Description: Stiffly erect, single stalk, to 70 cm tall, branching above, terete, to 6 mm dia, densely woolly. Leaves 6x43 mm, sessile, linear; upper surface green, papilate, rough, with sparse fine wool; lower surface densely woolly. Infloresence a corymb of yellowish heads, woolly.
