Habitat: Open, level, grassy area w/many other herbaceous species. This one few and scattered.

Description: Erect, single stalked perennial, 52+ cm tall, much branched above. Leaves long petioled, five peltate. Root white, to 8 cm long. Infloresence 5-merous. Petals wine colored, 2 cm long, apex fimbrillate.
