Habitat: Well drained caliche hillside. Full sun.

Description: 70 cm tall, erect shrub with tough, small root. Sparingly branched. Leaves sessile/short pedecelate, opposite, lanceolate, sparsely but sharply denticulate, to 5 cm long, strigose-hispid. Inflorescences single, terminal on 25 cm, naked peduncles. Rays orange, fertile. Disk yellow-orange.
