Habitat: Half shade; normal moisture; alkaline, alluvial soil. Abundant in several colonies.

Description: Erect perennial from a very deep taproot, averaging 70 cm tall. Minor branching on upper 1/3. Silver-canescent throughout. Flowers few, in cymes; corolla violet.
