Habitat: Plentiful on dry, rocky hillside.

Description: Perennial shrub to 3.5 dm tall, many stems from base. Branching upper half of plant. Leaves once pinnately, odd compound to 15 leaflets, strigose both surfaces, not glandular; 10 stamens, 9 fused. Inflorescence a raceme. Individual flowers 4 mm; coral pod 15-20 mm long, red and rounded.
