Habitat: West facing hill in full sun with stoney soil, but good dirt and a little humus.
Description: Coarse perennial bunchgrass, stems upward curving about 100 cm tall. Stem nodes bearded with hairs to 3 mm long. Panicles narrow, contracted to 9 cm long. Internodes of panicle branches densely soft haired. First glume sparsely hairy.
