Habitat: Near bottom of west facing hill. Soil very poor; rocky, stoney with little humus; full sun.

Description: Open panicles of spikelets on long, slender, spreading branches; stems 30-90 cm tall, branched at base and midstem; blades thin, short, flat; glumes and lemmas awnless. Spikelets not villous.
