Habitat: Damp, alluvial creekside, often flooded. Amongmany species of Poaceae.

Description: Perennial grass. Culms 120 cm or more, from slender, creeping rhizomes. Sheaths & blades retorsely scabrous. Nodes retorsely hispid. Blades 7-10 mm wide, thin but firm. Panicles lax, drooping, 10-20 cm long. Spikelets narrowly oblong, asymetrical.
