Location: 40 m S of S Oakwell Farms Pky & 140 m E of Harry Wurzbach Dr--Oakwell Farms, San Antonio.

Habitat: Well drained, clay, north facing slope. Full sun. Many, but scattered.

Description: Erect, single-stalked, annual/biennial to .8 m tall; strongly branched above. Latex yellow-orange. Entire plant very prickly. Capsules 3-5 carpellate, narrowly elliptic, to 4 cm long. Caplular spines 15-35 mm long always definitely compound. See about 2 mm long.
