GREEN CAREERS SUMMER PROGRAM

We are excited to announce the launch of our Green Careers Summer Program, a hands-on learning experience just for teens! Students between the ages of 14 and 17 are invited to explore the fields of horticulture and environmental science at the Wildflower Center. Our team of experts will guide you through plant surveys, seed collection expeditions, gardening techniques and more.

Note: Content will vary, depending on the session you attend.

Sessions

Sessions are held Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Register for one or both!

 

Session 1: Gardens & Greenhouse, May 30 – June 2, 2023

Cultivate your green thumb under the guidance of a Wildflower Center horticulturist. Gardens & Greenhouse participants will discover the importance of native plants to healthy ecosystems, learn to collect and germinate seeds, and care for established flora.

 

Session 2: Science & Conservation, June 20 – 23, 2023

Thinking about a career in environmental science? Get the inside scoop on the field during our Science & Conservation session. You’ll work with Wildflower Center scientists to explore prairie biodiversity, collect real data about the plants and animals that inhabit our 27 acres.

$500 per session, non-members
$450 per session, for Wildflower Center members. Not a member? Join today!
