Romfh, Peggy

Peggy’s interest in photography started as a hobby that she and husband Pete combined with nature outings along the Mid-Coast of Texas. After they joined the Texas Master Naturalist – Cradle of Texas Chapter in Brazoria County, this interest translated into a desire to learn as much as possible about the bird, animal, and plant species that abound throughout the county.

The gift of a macro lens for her camera provided an irresistible lure to photograph plants, and in the process, learn to identify them at the genus and species level. She particularly likes to photograph the plant parts that are essential to plant identification. Since Brazoria County is blessed with native prairies, large coastal national wildlife refuges, Columbia bottom-land forests, marsh, beach, and coastal dunes, there are no lack of plant species to photograph!

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is committed to developing the premier resource for native plant images in North America through continued growth of the Plant Image Gallery. You can help us achieve our mission ...to increase the sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers, plants, and landscapes... by becoming a contributor.
