Shot: Close-up of flowers. Photographer's note: "I found this plant blooming yesterday on a dry mountain slope in a deciduous forest. I suspected it to be a death camas of some kind. My friend Steve Bowling looked at the image today and confirmed that it was a death camas species. Unfortunately, I didn't take a foliage image. The best we can tell it may be the pine barren death camas. There was only one plant and it was in bloom."
