Shot: Close-up of a inflorescence. Photographer's note: "Flowers grow in terminal clusters and from the upper leaf axils. This species of Rhexia is tall, up to 1m, and very showy, although the clusters of blossoms tend to point in every direction at once. Rhexia alifanus has bluish-green, opposite, 4-ranked, large (for a Rhexia) leaves, 5-7 cm long."
