Shot: A colony of flowering plants. Photographer's note: "These are beautiful shoals spider-lilies. I think they are considered rare these days. The species is restricted to shallow rocky shoals in rivers and streams just above the fall-line in the Piedmont physiographic province. Plants cling to rocky crevices in shallow rapids."
