Shot: A colony of plants. Photographer's note: "Alabama lipfern is rare in Georgia. It only grows on carbonate rocks. Usually the plants grow in sporadic small colonies. The Collins Mountain location is unusual because there is so much of it. There are hundreds of colonies and they can be very large."
