Shot: Close-up of fruit. Photographer's note: "Interesting story on this fruit of corkwood. We found a new colony of this very rare shrub in Georgia a couple of years ago. Two cutting were taken and cultivated at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. They bloomed this year and both plants were female. While working in the Florida panhandle last month I found a colony of male plants. I collected a couple of catkins which matured and provided pollen that were used to pollinate the female plants."
