Shot: Close-up of a flower. Photographer's note: "Kentucky lady's slipper is extremely rare in Georgia. There is only one known closely guarded natural population in the upper coastal plain. It is difficult to get a photo of a "perfect" specimen in the wild population. Bumble bees chew the slipper opening in the process of pollination. These plants were propagated by tissue culture from the Georgia population."
