We’re all about young learners and leaders making buzz around protecting bees! Meet bee enthusiast and 15-year-old social entrepreneur Mikaila Ulmer, founder and CEO of Me & the Bees Lemonade and Healthy Hive Foundation. For more than a decade Mikaila has worked tirelessly to grow her business and advocate for the conservation of honeybees and pollinators through philanthropy and outreach education. In her recently published memoir, “Bee Fearless: Dream Like a Kid”, she reminisces on overcoming her fear of bees, starting her business and learning about the important role bees play in our ecosystem while dedicating her time to conservation efforts for these threatened species.
Join Mikaila to learn all about pollinators in this interactive virtual program. Parents and youths will work together to create their very own seed ball packed with pollinator-friendly seeds for their garden. From their food sources to their habitats, find out what you can do to help our threatened pollinators!
