Texas boasts greater bird diversity than almost any state, with more than 600 species either in residence or migrating through seasonally. Former park ranger Jennifer L. Bristol wrote a guide for aspiring birders who want easy access to wildlife viewing (read: no long, strenuous hikes). Her book, “Parking Lot Birding: A Fun Guide to Discovering Birds in Texas,” Bristol explores ninety birding locations that are open to the public and accessible regardless of mobility or ability. Come hear about her tips, discoveries, and how to use her text as a guide at. Bristol will sign books following the presentation.
Registration is not required and the program is free with regular garden admission. Admission is always free for members!
