PARK(ing) Day

We’re taking our mission to inspire the conservation of native plants to downtown Austin as we improve two parking spaces on Congress Avenue for the day with native greenery and DIY fun.

Whether you’re working near the Capitol, sightseeing, running at Lady Bird Lake, or just like an adventure, get yourself to 3rd and Congress to check out the cool pop-up parklets. Ours will definitely be cool! Native plants help combat the heat islands of paved cityscapes. Come find out what else they do. Sit a spell, meditate in a juniper hut or get hands on with nature crafts that you can help decorate our parklet with or take home/to the office.

PARK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks.
