Native Wildflower Week tour with Minnette, 2015

Wildflower Center volunteers make all the difference in our world. From delighting guests on tours to assisting staff in the gardens, with educational efforts and at special events, they truly keep the magic going year-round.

Every other year the Center hosts intensive docent training. Since 2017 is an “off” year, we invite our current and prospective volunteers to this three-day series of special training. It’s a great chance for current docents to brush up and for newbies to meet current volunteers and staff and ask questions. Topics covered will include:

  • New weekly docent-led garden tours
  • Updates to our Visitors Gallery
  • Monarch butterflies
  • Center history
  • Landscape architecture
  • And more!

If you have not previously volunteered with us, learn more and start the process here!

These classes will be led by Tanya Zastrow, director of programs, and Carrie McDonald, manager of volunteer services. If you have questions or would like to attend, please contact Carrie here.
