Connecting with Nature in a Time of Crisis – VIRTUAL

September 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$10 – $15
Woodland Trail

Nature is one of the best medicines in difficult times. An intimate awareness of the natural world, even within the city, can calm anxieties and help create healthy perspectives. This is the premise of author Melanie Choukas-Bradley’s new book, “Resilience: Connecting with Nature in a Time of Crisis,” which she’ll discuss in this program along with ideas for how you can implement the philosophy into your personal wellness routine. The author will present on such themes as:

  • Learning to enrich your life as a “forest bather” and naturalist in your own backyard
  • Truly tuning in to the beauty and wonder around you with all your senses
  • Embracing opportunities for personal growth, expanded vision and transformation in a time of crisis

The pandemic has limited our physical horizons and changed the pace of life. Choukas-Bradley will discuss how to come to terms with this new reality by finding resilience in nature. In this program she’ll share her experience as a nature author, naturalist and forest therapy guide. We’ll save time for a Q&A session and discussion and chance to share some of our experiences.

This event will be held virtually. Registrants will receive a Zoom link prior to the event. Event time is CT.
