July 10, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

$15
A brown and white dog on a leash sticks its head into a bush of purple wildflowers.
Texas lantana, Lantana urticoides. By Bruce Leander

Your dog and your garden may not have always coexisted harmoniously, but we can help! Whether you’re converting to native turf or groundcover, adding more trees, shrubs and flowers to your yard, you can find practical, attractive native plants that can stand up to paws and zoomies.

Join horticulturist Amy Galloway in this one-hour in-person class and walk through the gardens as she gives pointers for native plants and gardening successfully with pets. You’ll also learn about plants to avoid and get tips tending to plants damaged by pets.

Space is limited and registration is required. This class will take place in person throughout our gardens. Face masks are optional when attending this class. Please review our safety guidelines before your visit.
