$90

Thinking about shifting your yard toward natives, but not sure where to start? You’re not alone. Choosing the right plants can feel daunting, but it’s also the fun part.

In this two-part series, our former Director of Horticulture, Andrea DeLong-Amaya, will guide you through the essentials of building a native plant garden. You’ll explore a wide range of Texas natives, learn their unique growing characteristics, and discover how to match them with your site’s conditions. By the end, you’ll be ready to select plants with confidence and create a garden that’s both beautiful and resilient.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to identify and understand native plants for Central Texas
  • Unique growing needs and characteristics of selected species
  • How to match plants with your site’s conditions
  • Strategies for designing a yard with native diversity and style

This class is designed for adults (ages 15+). Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Space is limited, and registration is required.
