Meditation is the skill of paying attention and developing one-pointedness of mind. When our minds focus on an object of meditation without wavering, we will enjoy a relaxed and calm body and soul. In this class, students will be introduced to 13 meditation and visualization techniques including mantra meditation, single-object meditation, Metta mediation, mindfulness of the present moment and creative visualization. Each class is a blend of multimedia-based lectures and the practicing of two new meditation techniques per class.

The content of this particular course is based on instructor Farnaz’s book, “The Divine Art of Meditation: Mediation and Visualization Techniques for a Healthy Mind, Body and Soul”. This book is the result of almost a decade of research on the subject of meditation.

This two-part series is offered on Saturday, September 17 & 24, 10:30 a.m. – noon.

This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Space is limited and registration is required.
