The Wildflower Center illuminated by luminarias for Luminations

This event is SOLD OUT.

Here to light up your nights, our Luminations tradition is going to keep on glowing in 2020! Experience the calm of winter at the Center with the shimmer of thousands of luminarias lighting the way. This year, for the first time ever, stroll through our naturally beautiful Texas Arboretum among the illuminated oaks and the light-splashed forts of Fortlandia.

Enjoy a special seasonal menu of take-along foods from Wildflower Café. Order ahead here.

Nov. 27 - Jan. 3*
6 - 9 p.m.

Plus four more nights — Jan. 7 - 10 — added due to popular demand!

Members only on Mondays
*Closed Dec. 24, 25 & 31 and Jan. 1 & 2

Shiny New Features

  • Stroll a one-way, 1-mile path through the beautiful Texas Arboretum.
  • See select structures of Fortlandia take on new dimensions with creative lighting.
  • Experience audio and visual art installations from Collide Arts.
  • Bathe in the lights of an open-air illuminated tunnel on the trail.
  • A crowd favorite from 2019 (but in a whole new setting), be cradled or gently sway in the glow of a moon-ring swing.
  • Exclusive Member Mondays (only members may purchase tickets for Mondays and members may purchase for their guests as well) are our way of saying, "Thank you for being a friend." Bonus: Wildflower Café is offering free hot chocolate on Member Mondays!
  • To limit crowds, we're offering timed admission with very limited capacity for each time slot and extending Luminations to five weeks to make sure there's time for everyone to experience the magic (with plenty of room). You can read all of our safety guidelines here.

Tickets are by reservation and the event will have limited capacity nightly. We're offering timed admission to help keep a relaxed flow with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy.
