An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until November 29, 2022
Take a break from technology and join us in the gardens to practice mindfulness in nature and experience the many physical and emotional benefits of intentional green-time. Studies show that direct exposure to nature is an essential part of children’s physical and emotional development. These green-time sessions will give children the opportunity to unplug and balance out their weekly screen-time exposure with mindfulness, sensory awareness and curiosity. Simply put, kids feel better with more green-time and less screen-time.
Each green-time session will begin at the McCalla Picnic area with a series of breathing exercises designed to calm and center the body and mind. Participants will then have the opportunity to customize their session to fit their needs by selecting an intention from a green-time-inspired menu. A short sequence of guided breathing exercises invites participants to rejoin the group and close out their session.
